Medical Disclaimer

Kalorix is a general wellness application. It is not a medical device within the meaning of EU Regulation 2017/745 (MDR) or the U.S. Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, deficiency, or medical condition.

1. No Medical Advice

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, diet, or lifestyle decision. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read in the App.

1a. Target Population and Exclusions

Kalorix is intended for use by generally healthy adults (18+) who wish to track nutrition and follow general healthy-eating guidance. Kalorix is not intended for and should not be used by: minors; pregnant or breastfeeding individuals; people with diagnosed eating disorders; people with chronic or acute medical conditions requiring clinical dietary management (including but not limited to diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, cardiovascular disease, or cancer); people under active medical supervision; or anyone relying on the App for clinical decision-making. If any of these apply to you, please consult a licensed healthcare professional before using Kalorix.

1b. Blood Test Log (Log-Only Feature)

Kalorix allows you to optionally save values from a blood test for your own personal tracking. This is a log-only feature. Kalorix does not interpret, classify, rate, diagnose, or otherwise evaluate your blood values, and it does not compare them against medical reference ranges. If you enable the corresponding consent, Kalorix may use these values as a silent personalization signal when generating general meal suggestions; the values are never shown or referenced in the suggestions themselves. For medical interpretation of blood results, please consult a licensed healthcare professional.

2. Emergency

In case of emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. The App is not designed for emergency use or urgent medical situations.

3. Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and up-to-date nutrition and wellness information. However, values are approximations, may vary by individual and source, and we make no warranties regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of the content.

4. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for how you use the information provided by the App. Always confirm health-related decisions with a qualified healthcare professional.

4a. User-Edited Plans

Kalorix allows you to edit your personal meal plan manually, request AI-generated alternatives, or regenerate individual meals or days. When you modify a plan — whether by manual edit or by accepting an AI-generated alternative — the resulting plan is considered your personal choice, not a recommendation from Kalorix. Kalorix is a general wellness application, is not a medical device, and accepts no responsibility for the nutritional, medical, or other consequences of user-edited plans. You remain responsible for ensuring that any edits are appropriate for your personal situation, and for consulting a qualified healthcare professional where needed.
